Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) Umran Malik on Sunday (October 3) impressed one and all with his express fast bowling against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Dubai.

Featuring in his maiden IPL match, Umran, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, made life difficult for the Kolkata batsmen during his four-over spell.

Umran consistently bowled over 140 kph and three of his deliveries also clocked 150 kph. In fact, he touched the mark of 151.03 in his third over.

For his searing pace, Umran Malik received rich praise from the cricket pundits such as Harsha Bhogle and Aakash Chopra.

“Good to see a young man like Umran Malik with some serious pace about him,” Harsha tweeted while Chopra wrote: “Umran Malik…impressive first over and has already bowled the fastest ball by an Indian in #IPL2021”.

Earlier in the day, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan had posted a tweet for Umran Malik.

“Proud moment for jnk cricket. Go well boy #umranmalik,” Irfan wrote.
