Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni sent Twitter into a frenzy as he finishes off another chase with a six. It has been a long time since Dhoni finished a chase in his trademark style.

Chasing 135 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday (September 30), the CSK captain came out to bat at number 6. He scored unbeaten 14 runs with a four and six as they were on the verge of a victory.

Dhoni completed the chase with a six which also sealed CSK's place into the playoffs of IPL 2021. Ambati Rayudu was at the other end with 17* runs off 13 deliveries as CSK defeated SRH by 6 wickets.

Twitterati were delighted to see 'Thala' Dhoni securing their playoffs spot with a six in the last over. Dhoni has been struggling with his batting form since last season and he hasn't got a decent knock for a while.

However, the fans are expecting him to play crucial innings for CSK with more matches to come in the ongoing tournament. Last year, Super Kings had failed to qualify for the playoffs and it was the only instance when they couldn't make it to the top-four in IPL history.
