When De Villiers got out to Jasprit Bumrah in the 19th over, not only the fans were disappointed, but his son who was present in the stadium also ended up hurting himself in frustration of the dismissal.

RCB had lost two important wickets in the 19th over bowled by Bumrah. Before De Villiers, Glenn Maxwell was also dismissed after scoring a half-century. Bangalore could only manage four runs in the final over and they scored 165/6 in 20 overs.

It turned out to be enough for them after a superb bowling display in the second innings against five-time IPL champions. Mumbai lost the match by 54 runs after being bowled out for 111 runs in 18.1 overs.

Harshal Patel picked up four wickets which included a hat-trick. Yuzvendra Chahal bagged three wickets, while the Player of the Match Maxwell also picked up two wickets.
