Virat Kohli had an extended net session | RCB Twitter

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Director of Cricket and head coach Mike Hesson on Thursday (September 23) said skipper Virat Kohli has got his rhythm back after having an extended net session, and the skipper is now desperate to do well in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) in the UAE.

In their opening game, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were bowled out for 92 runs with Kohli scoring only 5 runs, as RCB suffered a humiliating defeat of 9 wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Monday (September 20).

Following the embarrassing defeat against KKR that came after Kohli’s announcement to quit the RCB captaincy after the ongoing IPL 2021 in the UAE, the right-hander had an extended net session ahead of the big match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday (September 24) in Sharjah.

Ahead of the RCB vs CSK encounter on Friday, Hesson, who watched Kohli in the nets from close quarters, said the RCB captain found his rhythm back and is desperate to score runs in the ongoing IPL 14.

Hesson said in a video shared by RCB on Twitter, “Look, there are some times when our batsmen look to do that to get some extra opportunity. Virat is obviously desperate to do well, he likes one-on-one sessions to get his confidence and basically find his rhythm. It definitely looks like he has found it.”
