Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a nightmare outing against the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 31st match of the IPL 2021 which was played in Abu Dhabi on September 20, 2020.
RCB was bowled out for 92 runs with Varun Chakravarthy and Andre Russell taking three wickets apiece. The KKR batsmen then chased down the target in 10 overs with nine wickets in hand. Venkatesh Iyer made 41*, while Shubman Gill slammed 48, while the duo added 82 runs for the opening wicket.

This huge win with 10 overs to spare has dented RCB’s net run rate heavily which could come back to haunt them later on in the tournament. The nine-wicket loss means that they have now lost three of their eight matches and remain in third position on 10 points.
