With the second-leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) resuming from September 19, Mumbai Indians have begun their outdoor training in Abu Dhabi where the defending champions will be taking on three-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of the UAE-leg.

During one of their training sessions, wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan refused to take a single as he wanted to keep the strike for the next delivery which was a free-hit since the umpire had called it a no-ball.

However, the former India cricketer Parthiv Patel, a member of MI support staff who was overseeing the session and keeping wickets, saw Kishan refusing a single on offer and forced the left-hand explosive batsman to take the single and cross over.

Kishan's partner Anmolpreet Singh who got to face the free-hit delivery then took a full advantage of the upcoming delivery by slogging it hard. The Mumbai-based franchise captured this incident and shared it with their fans on Instagram.

As far as MI is concerned, they are on the fourth spot on the points table with 4 wins under their belt in 7 matches they played in the first-phase of the tournament which was held in India and was suspended indefinitely earlier this year owing to COVID-19 condition in the country.
