England batsman Liam Livingstone suffered a shoulder injury during a County Championship fixture on Monday (August 30). It could be a big blow for Rajasthan Royals (RR) if he doesn't recover before the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) in the second phase.

Livingstone, while playing for Lancashire in a County Championship fixture against Warwickshire, got injured while diving near the boundary rope. The injury was serious enough for him to walk off the field and he was replaced by Richard Gleeson.

Rajasthan have already lost Jofra Archer with a stress fracture, Jos Buttler due to paternity leave, and Ben Stokes, who has taken a mental health break from cricket. They could be in more trouble if Livingstone misses out on the remaining matches of the tournament.

Earlier, RR signed New Zealand batsman Glenn Philips as a replacement for Buttler, and they added number 1 T20I bowler in ICC Men's Rankings, Tabraiz Shamsi for IPL 2021 in UAE.
