The 2021 edition of Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) was suspended earlier this year owing to COVID-19 conditions across the country and players and members of support staff testing positive for the virus.
But now, after a lot of planning BCCI has announced the second-leg of IPL 2021 to be held in UAE in the September-October window, ahead of the T20 World Cup which was supposed to be played in India was shifted to the middle-east.
After the announcement of resumption of the tournament, all the franchises are regrouping and travelling for the UAE-leg of the cash-rich league.
While MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent has already reached and started practicing in Dubai, and Mumbai Indians doing the same in Abu Dhabi, the two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) also departed for Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The Kolkata-based franchise which keeps their fans entertained with regular updates of the KKR camp, recently shared a video of their players shaking a leg on a ‘reel trend’ before boarding the flight.

The KKR side who will be without the services of the star Australian all-rounder Pat Cummins as he has already pulled out of the tournament, will begin their IPL 2021 campaign with their opening match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on September 20 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
