Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent has reached UAE ahead of the second phase of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

On Saturday (August 21), CSK players along with their skipper MS Dhoni were seen playing football during a training session. The franchise shared pictures from the fun training session on social media. Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Karn Sharma, and Robin Uthappa can be seen enjoying the session.

“Kickstarting the day,” the franchise captioned the tweet featuring their star players playing football.

CSK squad is training at the ICC Academy in Dubai as a part of their preparation for the second half of the IPL, which will kickstart from September 19.

Dhoni-led CSK will take on Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians in the opening game.

CSK are currently at the 2nd spot on the points table. They won 5 out of the 7 matches in the April-May phase of the league. Delhi Capitals are the current table toppers with 6 wins from 8 games.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings have the same number of points but CSK has an edge over the Virat Kohli-led side as they’ve got a better net run rate. Mumbai Indians sit at the 4th spot with a total of 8 points on their side.

Having finished at the 7th spot in the 13th edition of the tournament, CSK will hope to make a comeback in the second half of the Indian Premier League 2021.
