Chennai Super Kings members depart for UAE to begin practice for IPL 2021

Chennai Super Kings will face Mumbai Indians in the first match of IPL 2021's second phase.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) members departed for United Arab Emirates (UAE) ahead of the Indian Premier League's (IPL 2021) second phase. CSK skipper MS Dhoni had landed in Chennai on Tuesday (August 10).

On Friday (August 13), CSK's official Twitter account posted pictures of the franchise members wearing a mask and gathered at the airport before boarding the flight. The players like Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Karn Sharma, Deepak Chahar, Ambati Rayudu, and Ruturaj Gaikwad were having a chat.

Robin Uthappa was accompanied by his wife and son as seen in the post. "✈️ Mode ON #UrsAnbudenEverywhere #WhistlePodu #Yellove ????????," wrote CSK in the caption.

In another solo picture of Dhoni, he had his hand on the luggage and was looking away from the camera. "MAS ➡️ DXB ???? Get ???? ready folks #UrsAnbudenEverywhere #WhistlePodu #Yellove ????," the tweet read. 

Earlier today, five-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians also departed for UAE. Dhoni and co will start the second leg of IPL 2021 with a face-off against Mumbai on September 19.

With 5 wins from 7 matches, CSK are placed at the second spot in the points table. Super Kings have only lost to Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in their seven outings.
