Shreyas Iyer has resumed training and is working to be match-fit for the second leg of the IPL 2021 that will be held from November 19 in UAE.
The Mumbai batsman was ruled out of IPL 2021 after sustaining a shoulder injury during the ODI series against England earlier this year. Iyer had to go through a surgery and subsequent recovery period. This forced him to miss the first phase of IPL 2021.
Rishabh Pant was named captain in his absence and the Delhi Capitals team sits at the top of the IPL 2021 points table as of now.
The Delhi Capitals (DC) captain has started training five days ago at the indoor BKC facility in Mumbai with Pravin Amre. Iyer also missed the Royal-London One Day Cup with Lancashire earlier this year.

Pravin Amre is working with Shreyas Iyer as a part of the Delhi Capitals’ camp. Iyer will train with the Amre till 31 July, after which he has to report at NCA to prove his fitness.
"They have been working indoors mainly because there is no permission to do so outside. And there has been raining in Mumbai too," a franchise source told Cricbuzz.
The source also said that NCA will provide a fitness certificate. However, even if he is not fully fit currently, he is expected to be fit before IPL 14 starts. Delhi Capitals (DC) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on 22 September.
