Wriddhiman Saha recovers from COVID-19; thanks fans for their wishes

Saha had tested positive in Sunrisers Hyderabad bio-bubble during IPL 14.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Team India wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha who contracted COVID-19 during now postponed IPL 2021, has tested negative for the deadly virus and returned home on Tuesday (May 18). 

Wriddhiman Saha was the only member from SRH contingent who tested positive for COVID-19 inside the IPL 14 bio-bubble. 

The coronavirus cases among players and support staff inside the bio-bubble in as many as four teams forced BCCI to stop the tournament with immediate effect.

However, in the latest development, Wriddhiman Saha has tested negative for the COVID-19. Taking to his official Twitter account the wicketkeeper-batsman informed that he has recovered from the virus. 

"I have recovered. Thanks for all your wishes!" Wriddhiman Saha Tweeted. 

Apart from Wriddhiman Saha, Amit Mishra of DC, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier of KKR along with Mike Hussey and Lakshmipathy Balaji, who were support staff members of CSK, contracted the virus. 

Wriddhiman Saha is set to be next seen in action when Team India take on New Zealand in the final of ICC World Test Championship and then later England in the five-Test series.
