India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has on Friday (May 7) urged everyone to stay home and keep their family safe amid the devastating COVID-19 surge across the country.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has taken a frightening form in India with the infected patients dying at small hospitals due to the lack of Oxygen and medical support while, the Coronavirus figures have been reaching record heights with each passing day all over the country.
The COVID-19 crisis has also forced the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) to postpone the 14th edition Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) after several Coronavirus cases reported in the different franchisees.
On Friday, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) released a video on Twitter wherein Jadeja is seen asking people to stay home and take all precautionary measures against the deadly virus while urging all to help the needy as everyone needs to come together and fight the battle against COVID-19 pandemic.
Jadeja said, “Please stay home and stay safe. Also, keep your family members safe because in these tough times we have to come together and fight the battle against COVID-19. So please wear your mask and sanitize your hands regularly. And, please help those around you.”
He concluded, “Ask them if they need help because sometimes, some people tend to hesitate while seeking any kind of help or support. So please ask them upfront if they require any kind of support or help. Only if we stand together in these tough times we'll be able to win against the pandemic.”
