Players are returning home as the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) was suspended by BCCI on May 4. The decision was taken after the bio-bubble of multiple franchises was breached, as players and support staff members were tested positive for COVID-19.

Foreign players like David Miller, Faf du Plessis, Kagiso Rabada, Jos Buttler, and Anrich Nortje posted a goodbye post for the fans before heading back home.

Rajasthan Royals' (RR) batsman Miller posted a video in PPE kit and advised fans to stay at home in the COVID-19 pandemic. Another RR star batsman Jos Buttler took to Twitter to send his best wishes to the people of India.

Rabada and Nortje, who were part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise, posted a picture from the IPL on Instagram. Rabada called it a pity for the season to end so early and hoped for everyone's safety in India, while Nortje told everyone to stay strong and stay together in this tough time.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Faf du Plessis also shared a post on Instagram for his fans. He felt sad to leave the tournament and the CSK family. He said the Super Kings were on fire this season as they won five out of 7 matches.

"Sad leaving the @iplt20 and the @chennaiipl family. Team was on fire this season. My constant prayers is with the people from India to get through this. Pls Take care of yourselves. ❤️????," he wrote on Instagram.
