A day after the postponement of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), it emerged that two people have been arrested for allegedly entering the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi illegally using fake accreditation cards during an IPL 14 match on Sunday (May 2)
The incident took place during the 28th match of the IPL 2021 between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad – that won by RR at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday.
The police on Wednesday (May 5) revealed the alleged entry of the two persons during the RR vs SRH match in Delhi. The accused have been identified as Krishan Garg of Swaroop Nagar and Manish Kansal of Jalandhar in Punjab with the police investigating if the accused are bookies.

During the interrogation, the two accused persons' response wasn’t satisfactory when police asked them about their presence at a gallery of the VIP lounge, following which they were apprehended, adding that they used fake accreditation passes to enter the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
A senior police officer has confirmed that the case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Epidemic Diseases Act and the Disaster Management Act following the interrogation, and now the accused were arrested.
