Fans feel it would be difficult for them to distract themselves without IPL in this tough time. But the unfortunate bio-bubble breach has left BCCI with no option other than looking for the safety of the players.

Two Kolkata Knight Riders players, Sandeep Warrier and Varun Chakaravarthy tested positive. Soon after, three Chennai Super Kings franchise members also tested positive, including L. Balaji and Mike Hussey. Even Delhi Capitals spinner Amit Mishra and Sunrisers Hyderabad wicket-keeper Wridhhiman Saha tested positive for COVID-19.

With 31 games in the 60-match tournament still remaining to be played, the BCCI has suffered around Rs 2,000 crore loss which will also affect the IPL franchises.
