IPL 2021: Jos Buttler gifts Yashasvi Jaiswal a special signed bat before returning home

Buttler had to return home after IPL 2021 got postponed due to bio-bubble breach.

England batsman Jos Buttler gifted his Rajasthan Royals (RR) teammate Yashasvi Jaiswal a special bat before returning home after IPL 2021 got postponed. RR shared the picture of Buttler with Jaiswal on their official Twitter account.

Jaiswal can be seen posing with a signed bat by Buttler with the Englishman standing next to him. "To Yash, Enjoy your talent! Best wishes," wrote Buttler along with his signature on the bat. Buttler and Jaiswal opened for Rajasthan this season.

"A special gift from a special opening partner. ????," wrote RR while posting the picture of their opening duo together. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (May 4) confirmed that IPL 2021 has been indefinitely suspended after several players tested positive for COVID-19. 

"The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season, with immediate effect," BCCI said in a release.

 "The BCCI does not want to compromise on the safety of the players, support staff and the other participants involved in organizing the IPL. This decision was taken keeping the safety, health and well-being of all the stakeholders in mind."
