Punjab Kings (PBKS) all-rounder Harpreet Singh Brar said that he won't be able to forget Friday night after his side handed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) a 34-run loss in an IPL 2021 encounter on April 30.

Playing his first match of the IPL 14, Harpreet Singh Brar turned out to be a masterstroke for the Punjab Kings as the spinner emerged as a star performer with the ball and helped KL Rahul-led side register their third win of the season.

Brar finished with stunning figures of 3-19, picking up the scalps of RCB skipper Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers and helped his side achieve a much needed victory by 34 runs.

Apart from his heroics with the ball, the Punjab all-rounder played a crucial cameo with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 25 off 17 balls including six on the last ball of the innings.

While talking to Ravi Bishnoi in a video posted on the IPL website, Harpreet Singh Brar said that taking the wicket of Virat Kohli as his first was a good feeling for him. He added that he won’t be able to forget this night.

"I am feeling very good. It was my first match in which I took a wicket and the first wicket of Virat Kohli. Won't be able to forget this night," Harpreet Singh Brar told Ravi Bishnoi in a video posted on the IPL website.

Brar said that when a team is not winning there is a tense environment but the team comebacks tell a lot about the character of the team.

"There is a tense environment when you are not winning the game in the tournament but how you make a comeback tells a lot about you as a team. And we have made a comeback with a win, it feels nice," he said.

Brar further urged people, everyone, to get vaccinated as soon as possible to fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

"Stay safe, stay at home, sanitize your hands, and get vaccinated as soon as possible," he concluded.

With 34 runs victory over RCB, PBKS are now placed 5th on the points table. They will next face Delhi Capitals (DC) on 2nd May at Ahmedabad.
