IPL 2021: I think Ravindra Jadeja has to be in all three formats, says CSK's Suresh Raina

Jadeja has been brilliant with batting, bowling and fielding in this year's IPL.

Suresh Raina and Ravindra Jadeja finished the game against SRH | BCCI/IPLChennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is currently on top of his game in IPL 2021 as he can’t seem to do anything wrong on the field. Jadeja has been hitting the ball really well, taking regular wickets with the ball and fielding has always been his forte.

While everyone from across the globe was calling Jadeja a complete cricketer, former India batsman Suresh Raina was not behind as he showered heaps of praises on the all-rounder.

He's been amazing, I would rather say that he's going to be No. 1 in the world. I love his attitude, how he throws the ball and he enjoys his fielding. He's a fabulous fielder and always throws a lot of balls around and hits with direct throws, Raina said in a video showed during IPL pre-show on Star Sports.

The southpaw then talked about how no matter who the captain is, he wants Jadeja in his team due to his all-around abilities.

IPL 2021: ‘We are lucky to have him right now in his prime’, Stephen Fleming in awe of Ravindra Jadeja

I think Jadeja is one person who can really change the momentum. Whoever is the captain in the side, really wants him in the team. When things are not in favor, one moment can change everything. And that's what he has been doing,” the 34-year-old said.

He's been batting well, bowling really well and he has taken almost 7-8 catches already. I think someone like him has to be in all three formats,” he added.

After a comfortable win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), MS Dhoni and Co. will be in action on Saturday (1 May) as they take on defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
