Siraj defended 14 runs in the last over with Shimron Hetmyer and Rishabh Pant at the crease.

Mohammed Siraj celebrates the fall of Steve Smith | BCCI/IPLRoyal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) came back strongly after their loss against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 22 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) as they handed a 1-run loss to the last year’s finalists Delhi Capitals (DC).

RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj delivered yet another brilliant last over as he defended 14 runs with Shmiron Hetmyer and DC skipper Rishabh Pant at the crease.

I backed my yorker at the death as it was coming out really well and I was able to execute it really well. I was single minded in executing the yorkers to Rishabh and Hetmyer and I thought if they hit a good shot, so be it, Siraj told broadcasters Star Sports.

The right-arm quick who has been bowling really well since India’s Test series win in Australia revealed that playing Test cricket and sharing the dressing room with Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah has given him a lot of confidence.

Obviously my confidence is high after playing Test cricket. My line and length have improved because of it and sharing the dressing room with Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah helped me immensely,” he added.

The Bangalore-based franchise has been clinical with both the bat as well as with the ball, with AB de Villiers playing a blistering knock of 75 off 42 to take the team to 171 and then bowlers restricting the likes of Stoinis, Hetmyer, Pant in the final overs.
