Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have jumped to the top of the IPL 2021 points table after defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by 1 run at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The cliffhanger saw a close finish as DC failed to score 14 runs in the last over.

DC captain Rishabh Pant and Shimron Hetmyer had to do the job against Mohammed Siraj in the last over. But they could only manage 12 runs which meant a close win for RCB. Hetmyer played a terrific knock of 53 unbeaten runs off just 25 balls.

After the match, skipper Virat Kohli and Pant were seen having a light chat. They were joined by Delhi's pacer Avesh Khan and RCB's man of the moment Siraj.

Although Delhi lost, Avesh had a good game with the ball. He dismissed Kohli in the match on 12 runs and finished with figures of 1/24 in four overs.

RCB are now at the top of the table with 10 points from 6 matches, while DC stand on the third position with 8 points in 6 matches.
