Mumbai Indians (MI) all-rounder Hardik Pandya urged people to wear masks, maintain social distancing and step out of the house only if necessary amid the second wave of COVID-19 in India.
The second wave of coronavirus is witnessing a precipitous rise of cases across India and several states have imposed curfews and other restrictions as they try to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
There are over 28 lakh COVID-19 cases in India at the moment as the nation reported 3.52 lakh fresh coronavirus cases- the highest single-day spike registered since the onset of the pandemic- as reported on Monday (26th April).
While addressing the situation, star MI all-rounder Hardik Pandya took to his Twitter account and cautioned the people that the ‘tough fight’ against COVID-19 isn’t over and they should wear masks, maintain social distancing and step out of the house only if necessary.
"We've still got a tough fight on our hands. Let's not let our guard down and please observe all the necessary precautions. Wear your mask, size, social distance and step out only if needed," Hardik Pandya Tweeted.
The swashbuckling all-rounder will next be seen in the action on 29th April when defending champions MI will take Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
