Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star players AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, and captain Virat Kohli urged people to take extra care of themselves as the situation in India is getting worse due to COVID-19.
RCB posted a video featuring the trio who appealed to their fans to stay at home and follow the guidelines for their safety. Coronavirus is taking thousands of lives daily in India and captain Kohli said step out only when it's necessary.
"Hi, I am Virat Kohli, as a captain I try to lead from the front and help people around. I request all of you to do the same, sanitize your hands, step out only if necessary and wear your masks at all times," Kohli urged.

De Villiers said it's the time to be a superhero and stay at home which could break the COVID-19 chain and save many lives. "Hi, it's AB de Villiers, you cannot wait for a superhero when the going gets tough, you need to be the superhero. With the Covid pandemic, the best way to stay safe is by staying at home. Together, let's survive these tough times."
India is witnessing a second wave of COVID-19 cases which looks stronger than before. The total death toll stood at 1.92 lakh on April 25 (Sunday).
Further in the video, Maxwell said they will provide their fans entertainment in this tough time but he wants them to follow all the precautions.
"Our priority right now is to provide you entertainment and hopefully giving you joy. In return, I am just asking to follow all precautions to stay safe and beat Covid," said Maxwell.
