Team India head coach Ravi Shastri while lauding Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal for their batting performance against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an IPL 2021 encounter said that the duo made batting look so easy.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) thrashed Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 10-wickets in an IPL 14 to record their fourth consecutive win of the season.
Devdutt Padikkal and skipper Virat Kohli were the main architects behind RCB’s 10-wicket victory over the Sanju Samson-led side.
Chasing the target of 178 runs, the duo took RR bowlers to cleaners and stitched together an unbeaten 181 runs partnership, and chased the target with 21 deliveries to spare.
Padikkal registered his maiden IPL century (101* off just 52 balls) while Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten 72 off 47 deliveries to help RCB in their chase and in due course completed 6,000 runs in IPL, becoming the first batsman to the milestone.
While lauding the duo for their impressive batting performance, Team India head coach Ravi Shastri took to his Twitter handle and said that 'student and the master' made batting look so easy.
“The student and the master at work. Fabulous viewing. These Southpaws make it look easy - @devdpd07 @imVkohli @RCBTweets #RCBvsRR #IPL2021,” Ravi Shastri Tweeted.
With four out of four wins in the tournament, RCB retained their top spot in the points table and will look to remain undefeated when they next face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on 25th April at Mumbai.
