Before Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 21, 2021; a very amazing sight was seen as former CSK teammates Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina met and Raina touched Harbhajan’s feet to show respect.

Raina and Harbhajan played together for Chennai in IPL 2018 and 2019 after Mumbai Indians had released the Punjab off-spinner ahead of IPL 2018 and CSK bought the tweaker. Harbhajan was then released by CSK ahead of IPL 2021 auction, as he missed the IPL 2020 edition due to personal reasons.

In a video circulated on social media, Harbhajan was seen meeting Raina and Raina touched the now KKR spinner’s feet in a show of respect. The two played for the Indian national cricket team for several years. They were together part of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 triumph. 

The video which was uploaded on Twitter by a fan, Harbhajan Singh was seen standing on the ground talking to Imran Tahir and Ravindra Jadeja. This is when Suresh Raina came from behind and went down to touch Harbhajan’s feet. The spinner stopped him and then hugged him.
