The match-up between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was an absolute run fest as PBKS openers got off to a flying start and set a mammoth target of 196 runs which was eventually chased down by DC, thanks to Shikhar Dhawan’s knock of 92 runs.
DC’s assistant coach who was really happy with Shikhar’s batting praised the southpaw for his ‘fearless’ approach against KL Rahu’s side.
Even though Dhawan missed out on his century as he scored 92 runs off just 49 deliveries, Kaif on Monday said that the Delhi-based batsman is a rare batsman who looks solid at the crease even though playing fearless cricket.

“@SDhawan25 is the rare batsman who looks solid even while playing fearless cricket. Cutting risks without compromising the strike-rate is the mark of a great T20 batsman. Gabbar is an IPL Super Star,” Kaif wrote on Twitter.

After Mayank Agarwal’s superb 69 and Shahrukh Khan’s critical 15 in the last over put PBKS in the driver’s seat, Dhawan’s 92 along with important 27 by Marcus Stoinis helped DC register their second victory by six wickets with 10 balls to spare.
After PBKS, Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals will take on five-time champions and current defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday (20 April) in Chennai.
