IPL 2021: Muttiah Muralitharan to be discharged from hospital today; to rejoin the SRH camp

Muralitharan underwent an angioplasty in Chennai on Sunday.

Muttiah Muralitharan joined SRH in 2015 | BCCI/IPLSri Lanka legend and current Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowling coach Muttiah Muralitharan who had to undergo an angioplasty on Sunday in Chennai, will be discharged from the hospital, and will resume normal activities.

Former Sri Lankan cricket player was admitted for cardiac evaluation at Apollo Hospital, Greams Road, Chennai on 18.04.2021. He underwent successful coronary angioplasty with scents yesterday under the care of Dr. G Sengottuvelu,” said Apollo Hospital in its latest medical bulletin on Monday.

The statement also revealed that Muralitharan will resume his normal activities after his discharge as it said, “He will be discharged today and would resume his normal activities.

The former Sri Lanka off-spinner who has a spectacular record of 800 Test wickets in 133 Test matches, will be joining the SRH camp after being discharged.

As far as the Hyderabad-based franchise is concerned, they are yet to win a match in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) are badly Kane Williamson in the middle order and skipper Warner had recently said that if the Kiwi recovers, he might get an opportunity.
