Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) suffered their third consecutive loss in the IPL 2021 after Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated them by 13 runs on Saturday (April 17) in Chennai. On all three occasions, SRH lost the match while chasing a target.
David Warner-led SRH fell 10 runs short against Kolkata Knight Riders in their first match, followed by a 6-run loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their batting strength has been tested and it failed every time which is a big concern for them.
Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar pointed out the weakness in SRH's batting order and questioned them for playing three youngsters together in the side.
Manjrekar believes they don't deserve to win with Abhishek Sharma, Virat Singh, and Abdul Samad all three playing together.
"Sorry to say, but anyone that picks Abhishek Sharma, Virat Singh and Abdul Samad all together in one playing XI does not deserve to win," he tweeted.
Twitterati didn't like Manjrekar calling out players and slammed him for targetting the youngsters. Some felt SRH is right to groom the youngsters and the ex-India cricketer shouldn't be discouraging the new talents.
