Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman Kane Williamson has been missing from action for the last two matches that the team has played and his absence has hurt the team a lot. SRH has lost both their matches in IPL 2021 thus far.

Williamson came into the IPL 2021 reportedly with a shoulder problem and has been rehabilitating with SRH medical team and recently the SRH team put out a video featuring the New Zealand captain, in which he gave an update about his fitness and availability.

“Recovery is going well and you know the focus is on getting pain-free as quickly as possible and we are certainly tracking nicely and hoping to be fit and ready within the next week.  It is a bit of balance between practice and rehab and sort of things.

But for the most part, the progression has been really good. So, pretty optimistic about being close to full fitness very soon,” Kane Williamson said in the video.

Sunrisers Hyderabad plays Mumbai Indians next on April 17 and then plays Punjab Kings in Chennai on April 21, 2021.
