While talking about his knock, Glenn Maxwell said that the team management has given him a specific role. He added that the role which has been given to him is similar to the one he has in the Australian cricket team.

"It’s a very nice start, a new franchise for me and they have given me a specific role. To start like this is really nice. It's nice to have batters behind you, you have freedom with AB to come and it's a very similar role I have in the Australian cricket team," Glenn Maxwell said during the post-match presentation.

Maxwell said that skipper Virat Kohli is keeping him on task. He added that it’s his fourth IPL team and there is pressure on him to turn up and make an impact.

“Kohli’s good at keeping me on task. Having those guys behind me is a nice little luxury. It's my fourth IPL team and there is pressure on me to turn up and make an impact," he said.

Glenn Maxwell further said that the support staff has been backing him and it’s just about using his experience to get himself in and then go for runs.

“The support staff have been backing me as well. It's just about using the experience. Get myself in and then go for the runs," he said.
