Mumbai Indians (MI) pacer Trent Boult said it was intimidating to bowl against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hard-hitting batsman Andre Russell and wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik in the final over after his team’s 10-run victory in an IPL 2021 game on Tuesday (April 13) in Chennai.

In the fifth game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), MI spinner Rahul Chahar might have done a brilliant job for the defending champions by taking four wickets to help the side beat KKR by 10 runs in Chennai.

But Boult has also contributed brilliantly with the ball in the game, taking the crucial wickets of Russell and Pat Cummins as well as defended 14 runs in the final over while conceding just 4 runs to help the five-time IPL champions seal a 10-run against KKR in an IPL 14 match in Chennai.

Boult told Suryakumar Yadav in a video posted on IPL Twitter handle:Just trying to be clear with the plans we talked about in the meetings. It is probably a little bit intimidating coming up against Karthik and Russell; these players can clear the rope pretty easily. It was nice to cross the line.”

Meanwhile, Suryakumar played a brilliant knock of 56 off 36 balls, including his trademark flick shot for an amazing 99-meter six off the pacer Pat Cummins against KKR on Tuesday.

Speaking about the shot off Cummins, the right-hander told Boult: “During my younger days, I used to play a lot of rubber-ball cricket on cemented track and on one side boundary used to be about 90-95 meters so think that shot has come from there.”

He signed off by saying, “I'm really enjoying the way how I'm going right now and hopefully, continue the same for the team. I try to keep things really simple. I don't complicate things. I know what I have been doing in that position in the last two-three years. I just go out there and express myself.”
