Delhi Capitals' (DC) newly appointed captain Rishabh Pant is focused to do well in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). This season, he has another role, along with wicket-keeping and batting, and Pant is pulling up his shocks to give his best.

Pant, who will be leading an IPL side for the first time, was announced as captain after the shoulder injury of Shreyas Iyer during the India-England ODI series last month.

DC shared a video of Pant on their Instagram account which captured the dedication of the youngster ahead of the tournament. They wrote, "The captain is here, and he's here with a sense of purpose. @rishabpant, a man on a mission this #IPL2021."

The 23-year-old will lead his side against MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings on Saturday (April 10), and Pant said it is going to be a good experience.

“My first match as Captain will be against Mahi (MS Dhoni) bhai. It will be a good experience for me as I have learned a lot from him. I have my own experience as a player as well. I'll apply my own experience and the learnings from MS Dhoni, and try to do something different against CSK,” Pant was quoted as saying in a DC press release.
