Australia's fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has opted out of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021). He was part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad for the upcoming edition of IPL.

Fans were eager to see Hazlewood and Cheteshwar Pujara in the same camp after their face-off in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 became popular on social media.

Twitterati joked on Hazlewood's decision to give IPL 2021 a miss. Some of them tweeted the Aussie pacer is already tired of bowling to Pujara in the Test series.

The official Twitter account of CSK saw the reaction of fans and posted a cheeky tweet featuring Pujara. "ChePu Josh, what happened? #WhistlePodu #Yellove," they wrote.

Hazlewood wanted to take some rest after a hectic last 10 months because of strict bio-bubble and quarantine. “It’s been a long 10 months in bubbles and quarantine at different times, so I decided to have a rest from cricket and spend some time at home and in Australia in the next two months,” Hazlewood told cricket.com.au.
