IPL 2021: Virat Kohli joins Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai ahead of the tournament

RCB will start their IPL 2021 campaign against defending champions Mumbai Indians on April 9.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has joined the franchise in Chennai on Thursday (April 1) ahead of IPL 2021. Kohli had taken a break after the three-match ODI series against England, while many Indian players joined their franchises directly.

RCB's official Twitter account posted the picture of RCB skipper and wrote, "If you thought we were done breaking the internet for the day, think again! ???? Captain Virat Kohli ???? has arrived in Chennai ????".

Earlier the same day, AB de Villiers joined the team’s bio-bubble. Both Kohli and De Villiers will have to undergo quarantine before starting outdoor training with their teammates. 

As per reports of ANI, Kohli left the bio-bubble for the three-match ODI series against England at Pune on Monday (March 29). Players who moved from one bio-secure bubble to another don't have to get quarantined.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammed Siraj, who were part of India's ODI squad, have already joined the bio-bubble. RCB's first match of the IPL 2021 is against defending champions Mumbai Indians on April 9 in Chennai.
