Young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan has joined his franchise Mumbai Indians ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Ishan Kishan made a brilliant start to his international career. He made his debut in the second T20I of the five-match T20I series against England and registered a scintillating 32-ball 52 knock, which included four sixes and five boundaries.

He also featured in the 3rd T20I but fell early after he scored only 4 runs and then missed the last two matches of the series because of a niggle.

However, after the completion of the T20I series, young wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan joined his IPL team Mumbai Indians (MI). Since this is a bubble-to-bubble transfer, the left-hander won’t have to undergo another quarantine and can begin his preparations for IPL 2021.

Mumbai Indians took to their Twitter handle to welcome Ishan Kishan and wrote:

"Straight from national duty... He's come home! Welcome, @ishankishan51 #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians,”

After playing only 7 games in IPL 2019, Ishan Kishan was one of the mainstays for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2020. He scored 516 runs from the 14 matches at a stunning average of 57.33 and a strike-rate of 145.76.

Mumbai Indians would be hoping that Ishan Kishan continues from where he left off in IPL 2020 as they will look to clinch their 6th IPL title.
