Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Wednesday (March 3) to start the preparation for the upcoming IPL season. IPL 2021 is expected to start from the second week of April.

CSK will have their first training session from next week after players complete a mandatory quarantine period. They will be tested for COVID-19 twice before training.

The official Twitter account of Super Kings shared a video clip of Dhoni's arrival to Chennai and then a welcome at the hotel. CSK's manager Russell Radhakrishnan was seen receiving him at the airport.

Apart from Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu had also landed in Chennai and he was the first one to report on Wednesday. The franchise has already assembled a few net bowlers for the training session.

The rest of the players will join the franchise most probably in mid-March. Some of the players are currently part of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021.
