India cricketer Hanuma Vihari went unsold in the IPL 2021 auction on Thursday (February 18). He posted a tweet reacting to the auction after finding no buyer.

Vihari had a base price of Rs. 1 crore and failed to interest any franchise. He had gone unsold during the IPL 2020 auction at a base price of Rs 50 lakh. The 27-year-old is a regular member of India's Test squad and his image as a Test batsman also played against him.

After going unsold, Vihari posted a sarcastic 'Lol' on Twitter with a laughing emoji. "LOL ????" was the tweet from him.

However, Chennai Super Kings bidded for India's Test team core player Cheteshwar Pujara and bought him for his base price Rs. 50 Lakh. Vihari could have attracted a buyer this season with a lower base price than the last two auctions, considering his T20 numbers aren't engrossing.

Vihari has been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in the past. He played overall 22 matches for SRH in the year 2013 and 2015. His last appearance in IPL was for Delhi in the season 2019, where he got to play only two matches.
