IPL 2021: ‘Never give up on your dreams’, Pandya brothers recall struggling days on the day of auction

Taking to Twitter, Hardik posted a video with the caption: “Don’t ever underestimate the power of your dreams. Blessed and grateful #IPLAuction always reminds me of just how far we’ve come.”

In the video, a young Hardik can be heard saying he and his brother have a dream of representing Baroda and India just like Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan.

Krunal quoted Hardik’s tweet and wrote: “Don’t ever underestimate the power of your dreams. Blessed and grateful #IPLAuction always reminds me of just how far we’ve come.”

Last month, the Pandya brothers found themselves in a list of retained Mumbai Indians players for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.

Apart from the Pandya brothers and star attractions Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Kieron Pollard, the defending champions had also retained Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Anmolpreet Singh among others. Chris Lynn, who did not feature in MI’s triumphant IPL 2020 campaign, also found a spot in their 2021 squad.
