Chennai Super Kings (CSK) didn't have a good outing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 but the Dhoni-led side topped the list of most-tweeted teams. They failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time, but that didn't affect their fan following.

After CSK, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were the most tweeted team in IPL 13. Virat Kohli-led team has a good fan base because of the skipper himself and AB de Villiers. This year, RCB somehow managed to qualify for the top four, but unfortunately failed to perform as per the expectations.

The five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians remained at number three spot in the list of most tweeted teams, followed by SunRisers Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, and Delhi Capitals.

Delhi qualified for the final for the first time but still couldn't get much attention on social media as they remained in the last position.

The IPL 13 opener between MI and CSK was the most tweeted match of the season. It was followed by MI v SRH (October 4) and MI v DC (October 18) which saw double super over.

RCB captain Virat Kohli's fanbase made him the most tweeted player in the tournament. He may not be in the best form in IPL 13, but his fans kept high hopes from him throughout the season.

Talking about the golden tweet of the season, it was ex-India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's tweet praising the superhuman fielding effort by Kings XI Punjab's Nicholas Pooran against Rajasthan Royals in the 9th match of IPL 13.

"This is the best save I have seen in my life. Simply incredible!!", Tendulkar had tweeted.
