Zimbabwe's cricketer-turned-commentator Pommie Mbangwa picked his overseas XI from the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL 13) 2020. There were some striking overseas performers in the IPL 13 and Mbangwa did include them being an obvious pick.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer, the Most Valuable Player of IPL 2020 was picked, along with the purple cap holder Delhi Capitals (DC) pacer Kagiso Rabada.
Mumbai Indians (MI) frontline bowler Trent Boult, who bagged 25 wickets in 15 matches got paired up with Rabada. “My first bowler on the list Jofra Archer. Man! I’ve enjoyed watching fast, just incredible, and for Rajasthan Royals, once he started bowling fast he started giving them a really good start, and it’s been fabulous to watch him too,” said Pommie in a video uploaded by Cricbuzz.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) star Rashid Khan remained the only spinner in the overseas XI of Pommie.
“Rabada is always going to be in my team just outstanding. The third person I’ve gone for is Trent Boult because you’ve got the two right armers and you’ve got this guy who can swing it in the power play. The fourth bowler is Rashid khan, without question I know you’re always gonna pick him he’s gonna be in your side like he’s in mine. So I’ve got four bowlers now,” he added.
In the batting unit, SRH captain David Warner and MI opener Quinton de Kock got placed at the opening spot. For number three, four, and five, AB de Villiers, Eoin Morgan, and Jos Buttler were added to the line-up.
Pommie named Morgan as the captain of his side, and Chris Morris as the all-rounder. “I’ve gone with Chris Morris he’s gonna be the guy who’s batting at seven he’s gonna also bowl so those four bowlers plus Morris. Who’s at number six? You know, don’t you? It's Kieron Pollard. He’s gonna do that job at six. There you go, that’s my XI,” he said.
