IPL 2020: Harsha Bhogle reveals his XI of IPL 13; leaves out Kagiso Rabada

The IPL 2020 concluded with MI winning their 5th title.

Kagiso Rabada was not included by Bhogle in his XI of IPL 2020 | BCCI/IPLEminent cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle has revealed his team for IPL 2020. The tournament saw some amazing cricket with Mumbai Indians winning the title for the 5th time overall and second in a row. Delhi Capitals, meanwhile, made it into their first final in 13 years.

Bhogle picked the cream of the crop from the highest run-getters and wicket-takers in the IPL 2020. He picked KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan as openers. Rahul ended up with the Orange Cap for 670 runs in 14 matches, while Dhawan scored back-to-back hundreds in the IPL 2020, the first batsman to do so.

Next, he picked Suryakumar Yadav and AB de Villiers in at no.3 and no.4. Surya amassed 480 runs in 16 games at an impressive strike-rate of 145. De Villiers was by far the best batsman for the RCB team making 454 runs in 15 matches including five dazzling half-centuries.

Next Bhogle went for the dangerous MI pairing of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard as his finishers Pollard with a mind-boggling strike-rate of 191.42 topped the chart in best batting strike-rate of IPL 2020. Hardik also enjoyed a good season as he ended the thirteenth season as third on the list of best strike-rates (178.98).

Bhogle selected Rashid Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal as two spinners in his XI. Both Rashid and Chahal were the most successful spinners in IPL 2020. While Chahal claimed 21 wickets in 15 games, Rashid bagged 20 scalps in 16 matches.

The much-loved commentator then picked Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah as lead seamers along with Mohammad Shami in the pace department.  Bumrah picked 27 wickets, the most by any Indian in a single IPL ever. Archer and Shami were by far the best bowlers for their respective teams as well.

However, Bhogle omitted the name of Purple Cap holder Kagiso Rabada, who ended IPL 2020 with 30 wickets to his name, becoming only the second bowler after Dwayne Bravo to pick 30 or more wickets in a single edition of the IPL.
