The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League was played in UAE from 19th September to 10th November. In the final of this edition defending champions, Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals and clinched their second consecutive and overall fifth title.

Throughout the tournament, all eight teams put up good performances. Some did well in the first half and some in the second half. Three times champions Chennai Super Kings couldn't perform up to their standard and failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in its history. Kolkata Knight Riders once again missed playoffs due to poor net run rate.

Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab too fought till the end but couldn't make it to the last four. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals had good seasons compared to last a few seasons and made to the last four. Sunrisers Hyderabad continued their play-offs streak and defending champions Mumbai Indians defended their title with ease.

When it comes to performances players like Jasprit Bumrah, AB de Villiers, Suryakumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan, Jofra Archer, Trent Boult, Rashid Khan, etc had been excellent and youngsters like Devdutt Padikkal, Ravi Bishnoi, Kartik Tyagi, etc impressed on their debut season and big names like Pat Cummins, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Jos Buttler, Steven Smith disappointed a lot and here is a statistical look at Indian Premier League 2020.
