IPL 2020: Twitterati smell something amiss after Shastri forgets Ganguly in his congratulatory tweet

Ravi Shastri was congratulating the heads of BCCI for a successful tournament in pandemic.

Sourav Ganguly and Ravi Shastri share a lot of cold vibes

There was a big question mark on the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) pulled it off after moving the tournament to UAE.

On Tuesday, the final of IPL 13 was played which Mumbai Indians (MI) won by 5 wickets over Delhi Capitals (DC).

Despite all odds, IPL 2020 concluded on a positive note in UAE, and India head coach Ravi Shastri congratulated BCCI administrators, along with the medical staff team for a successful tournament.

Shastri wrote, "Take a BOW @JayShah, Brijesh Patel, @hemangamin and the medical staff of the @BCCI for pulling off the impossible and making it a Dream @IPL #IPL2020 #IPLfinal."

But fans noticed he forgot to tag BCCI President Sourav Ganguly in the tweet. They were quick to spot it and reacted to the post with memes.

There were rumors of a spat between Ganguly and Shastri when the former was the head of the Cricket Advisory Committee and appointed to select the head coach of the Indian cricket team in 2016.

Anil Kumble was picked as the head coach of the team by Ganguly, but Shastri got appointed after Kumble stepped down.
