Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) explosive batsman Chris Gayle teased his mate and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) leg-spinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, on his Instagram post. RCB got eliminated from IPL 2020 after losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Eliminator on Friday.
Chahal posted a picture of him with the sunset and shared it with the fans while promoting a brand. Gayle saw the post and couldn't himself from roasting the leggie. The Caribbean cricketer reminded Chahal that they have got knocked out of the IPL 13 and he can go home.
"Sublime sunsets, solace captured on my brand new #GoProHERO9 Black," wrote Chahal in his post. To which, Gayle responded, "Ok @yuzi_chahal23... you can go home now!".
Chahal and Gayle have played cricket together for RCB before the latter was released by the franchise in 2018. Despite not being in the same team now, they still share a good friendship.
Gayle's current IPL team, KXIP took an exit from IPL 2020 after the league stage. They had a good chance to qualify for the top four after making a comeback in the second phase of the tournament. They won 5 consecutive matches, before losing two back-to-back games which cost a spot in the playoffs.
