Mumbai Indians' (MI) batting strength was on display against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first Qualifier of IPL 2020. They lost captain Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard for ducks but still managed to score 200 runs in 20 overs.

MI were unaffected by the failure of their two key batsmen, and it shows how strong their batting unit is. Surya Kumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan scored a half-century each. While Yadav added 51 off 38 deliveries, Kishan remained unbeaten on 55 in 30 balls with four fours and three sixes.

Not to forget the finish Hardik Pandya provided as he batted with a strike-rate of 254.29 for his 37 runs which came in just 14 deliveries. Hardik didn't hit a single four but smashed five sixes.

After the match, Pandya told his teammate Jasprit Bumrah that they weren't aiming for 200 but still managed to achieve it. "To be honest, we did not aim for the 200 but luckily, we got it," Hardik said in a video posted by iplt20.com.

The outstanding batting performance was backed with a brilliant bowling performance. Bumrah picked up 4/14 and Delhi couldn't even reach 150 in reply. They got just 143/8 on the board in 20 overs.

Mumbai are now in the final of IPL 2020 and Bumrah wanted to know Hardik's reaction to the achievement. "I have always backed this team to achieve what we achieve. This is not something new for me. I do not get too overwhelmed with this whole thing because I think we have worked hard enough and that too, number of times to reach where we have reached."
