West Indies batting legend Brian Lara believes that Sunrisers Hyderabad has enough firepower to beat defending champions Mumbai Indians in a must-win IPL 2020 clash on Tuesday (November 3) in Sharjah to grab the final spot for the playoffs in the UAE.
SRH are two points behind fellow IPL 13 playoffs hopefuls Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but have a superior net run-rate on the positive side, and Lara said David Warner and his team will come with all guns blazing to dominate the show against MI to qualify for the playoffs on Tuesday.
While MI has already qualified for the playoffs of the IPL 2020 and can rest some of their key players for the Tuesday clash with SRH – which would make things easy for Orange Army as they just need a win to set a playoffs' date with Royal Challengers Bangalore on Friday.

However, West Indian great said SRH has all calculations on their side and they are strong enough to turn the game in their favor against MI to make it to the top four in Sharjah.
Lara said on Star Sports show Cricket Live: “Yeah, definitely. They (SRH) found themselves in this position, and that’s from good playing in their recent games. So, I expect them to actually be up for the challenge. Mumbai Indians may be easing off, rest a few players, which will favor SRH, but I think they have got to be ready for this quarter-final and for the rest of the tournament. If they win, they are in, and I think they have got what it takes to do so.”
He also believes that SRH may have a slight advantage over MI, considering the fact that the table topper Mumbai is likely to rest a few players on Tuesday to keep them fresh for Qualifier 1, having already qualified for the IPL 2020 playoffs.
Lara signed off by saying, “Mumbai Indians may be easing off, rest a few players which will favor SRH, but I think they have got to be ready for this quarter-final and for the rest of the tournament. If they win, they are in and I think they have got what it takes to do so.”
