Veteran Chennai Super Kings (CSK) spinner Imran Tahir has shared an emotional note with “heavy feeling in heart” for the fans and thanked them for their love and support after CSK’s final game in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 in the UAE.
For the first time in the history of the IPL, CSK failed to qualify for the playoffs, however, the MS Dhoni-led franchise managed to perform brilliantly in their last three matches and won all those.
CSK played their last game against Kings XI Punjab and finished the season with a 9-wicket win over Punjab on Sunday (November 1) in Abu Dhabi. The three-time IPL champions finished the IPL 2020 season as the seventh-placed team with 12 points from 14 matches in the UAE.

Meanwhile, the South African spinner did not get many chances in the IPL 2020, but when he performed for CSK, Tahir dismissed Chris Gayle in a match-winning match in Abu Dhabi. He got to play in 3 IPL 13 games for CSK and took the only wicket of Gayle this season.
Following the final game of the season, Tahir took to Twitter on Monday (November 2) to pen down an emotional note for his fans, saying sorry to his fan if he failed to meet their expectations and promising to come back stronger next year and will perform better if given a chance in IPL 2021.
Tahir tweeted: “Good finish at the end but a heavy feeling in the heart not to get to the playoffs. Sorry fans if you feel I didn't perform the way you all expected. If given a chance will try and do better next year. Thanks a lot for your love and continued support #Yellove,”
