Delhi Capitals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi and registered their eighth win of the season. And with this win, Delhi Capitals finished at the second position and qualified for the play-offs, and Royal Challengers Bangalore too qualified for the play-offs. 

Earlier Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field first. Their bowlers started well and didn't allow Bangalore openers to score runs and resultant Josh Philippe got out for 12 runs off 17 balls. Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli added 57 runs for the second wicket but they couldn't score quick runs. Kohli made 29 runs off 24 balls and Padikkal scored 50 runs off 40 balls. In the end, AB de Villiers' 35 off 21 balls and Shivam Dube's 17 off 11 balls helped Bangalore to post a fighting total of 152/7 on board. 

In reply, Delhi Capitals lost Prithvi Shaw cheaply but Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane rebuilt the innings and scored runs for fun and their 88 runs partnership for the second wicket made the chase easy. Both Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane got out after scoring their respective fifties and in the end, Rishabh Pant and Marcus Stoinis scored winning runs and Delhi Capitals chased down the target in 19 overs.
