Ex-England captain Michael Vaughan wants MS Dhoni to play his last game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in front of a huge crowd. He believes the former India captain deserves a huge farewell before he gives up cricket.
Dhoni, who has retired from all formats of international cricket, confirmed his participation in the next year's IPL 2021 as well. Vaughan feels Dhoni may have to play another year after the IPL 2021 if the tournament takes place in UAE once again.
"If the IPL takes place in the UAE next year again, which there are whispers it will happen, MS Dhoni will have to play another year. He cannot finish his IPL career in front of no crowd," he said.

"He has to play at least one game the following year. He cannot go out in front of no crowds. If there is one player who deserves a big crowd to say goodbye to - if he probably cannot play, he would just disappear and say goodbye without us knowing about it - as he did in international cricket," he added.
Vaughan knows there will be a huge crowd in Dhoni's last game if he plays it in India. "But I want to see a grand crowd for his last game," he said.
Before the match, Dhoni was asked whether he is wearing the yellow jersey for the last time, to which he replied, "Definitely not".
The 39-year-old feels giving away jersey to the players was the reason the speculation came up. "Maybe they thought I am retiring, you know. I retired from international cricket, so they might be thinking I am retiring from IPL as well," said Dhoni after the match while talking to Harsha Bhogle.
"Definitely not, right?", asked Bhogle, and Dhoni replied, "Definitely not."
