Harbhajan Singh is confident of Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Ishan Kishan's inclusion in the Indian team very soon. The youngster scored 72* runs off 47 deliveries while chasing 111 against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday.
Ishan is providing a good start to the innings and he didn't let his side miss the regular opener, Rohit Sharma, since his injury. The southpaw has added 395 runs in 11 matches with a strike-rate of 143.63.
Aakash Chopra lauded Ishan for his knock and said, "About time to we start taking Ishan Kishan’s name when the talk is about India’s next wicket-keeper batsman. Kid’s got talent...and skills."
Harbhajan quoted Chopra's tweet and replied, "Yeah super talented #IshanKisan @mipaltan he will surely play for India soon."
The 22-year-old, after his 99-run knock against Royal Challengers Bangalore, lost his track a bit, but he regained the form in the last few matches.
Mumbai Indians are currently the table-toppers and despite Rohit being rested, their performance has remained the same. They are the only team to qualify for the playoffs for now.
